Ariel Schleicher is a Florida-born, Prague-based artist whose work merges classical figuration with a bold, contemporary edge. Trained at NYU and institutions like the Art Students League of New York and UMPRUM, she reimagines traditional techniques through a subversive lens. Her paintings often feel like relics from an imagined past—ancient, tender, and slightly defiant. Figures stare you down, retreat inward, or radiate tension through vibrant color and dynamic poses, carrying the weight of what came before and the charge of what’s to come.
Schleicher’s work explores internal landscapes through classical references, textured reinterpretations, and more recently, cathartic organic lines that externalize anxiety and surrender. Her evolving style bridges reverence and rebellion, honoring history while pushing against its boundaries. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at Museu Europeu D’Art Modern in Barcelona and Cape Cod Museum of Art, and featured in 3Elements Review, Suboart Magazine, and on Great Day Live Tampa Bay.

Stay In The Know
I don’t send much. But when I do, it’s usually something worth seeing—a new painting, a behind-the-scenes peek, or a note from the workbench.
